Automations

n8n

n8n is an automation tool you can use in the cloud or install on your own servers. With the Webhook and HTTP Request nodes it can receive CursusOffice events and read or create data through the API.

What you can do

Receive CursusOffice events with the Webhook node.

Create customers and DRAFT quotes and invoices with the HTTP Request node.

Build flows with conditions and several steps, keeping your data under your control if you install n8n yourself.

How it works

  1. In CursusOffice create a token in Management → API and webhooks.
  2. In n8n add a "Webhook" node and copy the production address.
  3. In CursusOffice register that address as a webhook and choose the events.
  4. To read or write use the "HTTP Request" node towards your CursusOffice space, with the Authorization header and the token.

What you need

  • An n8n instance (cloud or installed by you).
  • A CursusOffice API token.

Limits to know

  • The address that receives the events must be https and reachable from the Internet: for safety CursusOffice rejects internal-network addresses. An n8n on a private network must be exposed with a public address.
  • The API always creates DRAFTS; up to 120 requests per minute per token.
  • There is not yet a node dedicated to CursusOffice: you use the generic nodes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install n8n on my own servers?

Yes, it is your choice. Remember that the address that receives the webhooks must be reachable from the Internet over https.
